Delhi University Clamps Down on Protests, Imposes One-Month Campus-Wide Ban from February 17

The University of Delhi has banned all public meetings, rallies, demonstrations, and protests on the campus on a one-month basis. The office of the Proctor issued the order, and it came into force on February 17, 2026, according to ANI.

The order covers all students, faculty, and staff. The authorities at the universities have said that the move was done to ensure that there is law and order and that educational activities go on as usual….
