Delhi University: Fraternity Movement Alleges Student Assaulted by ABVP, Prevented from Filing DUSU Nomination

The Fraternity Movement’s prospective candidate for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU), along with other members, was brutally assaulted by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists while attempting to submit his nomination form, with his papers allegedly torn, preventing him from filing his candidature, the organisation said.

Ahmed Rabeeh, along with other injured members of the Fraternity Movement, is currently undergoing treatment.

The organisation said it plans to file a formal complaint against the attackers, terming the incident “shameful and a direct assault on democratic values.”…
