JNU Rusticates Student for Protest against Face Recognition Tech at Library; Student Leaders Fined

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has rusticated a research student for one semester and fined at least two JNU Students’ Union (JNUSU) office-bearers, including its president and vice-president following a protest against the installation of a facial recognition-based access system at the varsity’s central library in August, The Indian Express has learnt.
