JNU Writes to Police Urging Action on Alleged Bail Violations by Students

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has reportedly written to the Station House Officer of Vasant Kunj police station, alleging that 14 students currently out on bail have repeatedly violated court-imposed conditions. In a letter dated March 9, the university said one of the key bail conditions explicitly barred the students from participating in, organising, or leading any protest or assembly, both on and off campus.

However, the administration claimed that the students have continued to stay on campus despite an “out-of-bounds” order and have actively taken part in protest activities…
