JU Allots Rooms to Three RSS-BJP Linked Units

Kolkata: Jadavpur University (JU) on Wednesday allotted rooms to three organisations linked to RSS and BJP, nearly two months after the latter came to office in the state. This is probably the first time in decades that the university has allotted space on campus to the two organisations.

Among the three, there are two staff organisations and the other is a teachers' body. While Room 102 on the ground floor of the Teqip building has been allotted for RSS-linked Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM), JU unit, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS)-affiliated Paschimbanga Visvavidyalaya Karmachari Sangh (PVKS), JU unit, has got a room on the ground floor of Subarna Jayanti Bhavan. Another room on the ground floor of the Subarna Jayanti Bhavan, which used to be a pharmacy, has been allotted to the JU.
