NSUI Alleges ABVP Attack on DUSU Office over Student Activism, Caste-Based Issues

A day after Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members staged a protest against senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent visit to the Delhi University campus, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has accused ABVP members of carrying out a violent attack on the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) office.

NSUI Delhi in-charge Honey Bagga described the alleged vandalism as a “clear reflection of ABVP’s frustration,” attributing it to the growing visibility of NSUI-backed DUSU office bearers such as president Ronak Khatri and joint secretary Lokesh Choudhary. “Our leaders have been raising critical concerns related to college infrastructure and the rights of Dalit, Adivasi and backward community students. This attack is an attempt to silence that voice,” he said…
