SFI Criticises RSS for Holding March at JNU, Says It Was Held without Prior Permission

The Left-affiliated Students’ Federation of India (SFI) on Friday criticised the Hindutva paramilitary organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), alleging that its centenary march at Jawaharlal Nehru University on September 28 was conducted without taking prior permission from the university.

“When progressive organisations like ours have to organise any event, we are required to take permission. But the RSS and the ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) are given a free hand,” SFI JNU secretary Parvathy said. Video footage showing uniformed RSS volunteers marching and exercising on the JNU campus has sparked outrage, with many expressing concerns over ideological intrusion, the promotion of hatred, and an alarming shift away from the university’s democratic values…
