‘Unworthy of Education’: Gujarat School Owner Humiliates, Assaults Dalit Student

A 15-year-old Dalit student was allegedly humiliated and assaulted by a school owner in Morbi district of Gujarat, sparking outrage and leading to police action under caste atrocity laws.

The incident took place in Wankaner town on Tuesday when the Class X student was reportedly kicked in the groin by school owner Yogendrasinh Zala, who also hurled caste-based abuses at him and told him he was “unworthy of education.”

The victim’s father came to know about the incident through a local resident, Siddharth Vaghela at around 1 pm. Then after some time his son came back home and narrated his ordeal to his father, media reports said on Thursday….
