Rajasthan Restricts Outsiders from Govt Schools amid CJP’s ‘School Thik Karo’ Campaign; CJP Vows to Continue Inspections

The Rajasthan government has restricted the entry of outsiders into government schools, as well as photography, videography and interviews, shortly after the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) announced a nationwide campaign to inspect schools it says are in a dilapidated condition.
The directive, issued on August 16 by Lalit Kumar, Director of Secondary Education, Bikaner, requires visitors to obtain prior permission from the principal or head of the institution.
The timing of the order has drawn criticism from CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka, who had announced that his team would inspect government schools across Rajasthan as part of its “School Thik Karo” campaign.
Under the guidelines issued by the Rajasthan Education Department, outsiders cannot enter government school premises without explicit authorisation, except for government officials visiting in an official capacity.
“Visitors who are permitted entry must record their details in a register and cannot enter classrooms, laboratories, libraries, hostels, playgrounds, toilets or student activity areas without being accompanied by a teacher or authorised staff member,” the circular reads.
